Some of the old Ford model engine like in those Ranger, Lynx, Telstar, Laser, Maxi and etc, had share some of the engine in the Mazda model like those in Fighter, Lantis, Astina, 323, 626 and etc. It is why some of the people may still think that Ford Escape engine gasket can be found in one of the Mazda engine model.
Browsing through the Ford Escape specification, it seem the current new model in Malaysia is using 2.3L In-line 4-cylinder DOHC, 16V Variable Valve Timing (VVT) engine, but recently most of the Ford Escape owner who looking for the rocker cover gasket is using those 2.0L Zetec-E YF engine.
And don't think it be can be find in any of the Mazda range of engine.
