Kenari Kelisa on the Move

Daihatsu Japan is well known of their technologies is small passenger car, from the earlier Charade, Aura to the current Mira and Move, it had been prove that their success to have the big fans among the women and fresh graduate driver.

Perodua Malaysia which able to follow the success story from Daihatsu, which their main fleet also in the small passenger car, start from Kancil, Kenari, Kelisa until today Myvi and Viva, which make their vehicle sales overtake the old day leader Proton in this past few years.


Proton Juara Engine


There are many of them saying that Proton Juara is one of the failure model in Proton fleet of model, one of the reason of their unpopularity may be cause by their exterior design outlook.

But most of us may not know, though this Proton Juara is using Mitsubishi 4A31 type of engine, it is quite surprise that this engine is mainly for Mitsubishi export model, and the engine is not use in Japan, for Japan model, Mitsubishi are using 4A30 which install in their mini type of Pajero, which we call as Pajero Junior.

Revised of NAP

One of the latest annoucement made by MITI (Minister of International Trade and Industry) on the 28th October 2008, which revised the current NAP (National Automotive Policy) is to prohibit imports of automotive used parts and component, at the moment, there are no restrictions on such imports.

At this junction, we may don't know what is the impact on the automotive industry in Malaysia, but for those who depend on the imports of used parts, they may need to start to prepare for the changes.
