Due to there are quite a lot of item in Kancil L2 Turbo engine is similar with the normal Kancil engine, not many try to import the actual L2 Turbo gasket set for the local market.
With the local made item for those diffrence with Kancil like their exhaust manifold gasket and intake manifold gasket, and punch more few hole on the Kancil cylinder head gasket, they can produce the set item with other part same as Kancil (except the valve stem seal need to change to Kenari type with 12pcs on it). As such the price is low but how is the quality.
Many had facing problem on resolve L2 turbo engine problem due to they don't get the proper high quality gasket. Just for the exhaust manifold gasket, you can see the technologies of making it is totally unmatchable by the local product.

For the turbo exhaust pipe manifold portion, the manifold gasket is important as this part is the zone of high temperature and pressure. The local maufacturer try to use the normal type of gasket material to manufacture this type of gasket, as a result, the gasket spoil straight away when the temperature and pressure went beyond their limit.
For example, the Ford Ranger Turbo Manifold Gasket (As shown on photo), you can see the diffrence of material of OEM type (Left side item) and local type (Right side item). Though we may note that the OEM type is far high performance than other, as their price may cost 6 to 7 times when compare to the local type.

Since the local Perodua Kancil owner starting to modified their engine in many variety of turbo engine from Daihatsu Mira range, the owner of the vehicle have quite a difficulty to source for the replacement part especially on the engine side.
From the 4 cylinder type of JBJL, JBEL, JBDET type to the 3 cylinder EJDE, EFGS type, vehicle owner always find it hard to source for the engine gasket, especiaaly the rocker cover gasket that may need to change when time is come.
Recently, there are another type of 3 cylinder engine that coming in, it is unknown how many vehicle with this type of Daihatsu EFSE engine as this engine is not a popular export model in Japan, the valve cover gasket (rocker cover gasket) may become so exclusive.
This type of engine mainly come from Daihatsu Hijet Atrai 660cc, with the model S200V or S200O, as local market use to diffrentiate the engine using L5, L7 and L9, may be this type of engine can be consider as L8 engine as one of the Daihatsu Opti model L800S using this type of engine.

The valve cover design for each engine sometime is very depend on the type of engine especially it is Single Overhead Cam (SOHC) or Double Overhead Cam (DOHC).
Normally, DOHC engine have a wider valve cover than the SOHC engine, as such, their valve cover gasket for DOHC certainly is wider than the SOHC engine.
Anyway, some of the engine had design that to separate the gasket into 2 pieces, for example, Toyota Levin 16V DOHC Engine (4A-GE) and Nissan CA18 DOHC Engine valve cover is design as 2 pieces a set.
Mitsubishi may rarely have such design of gasket but the recent 4G94 Engine had change their trend on the valve cover designing, you may see the photo on the latest valve cover gasket on the Mitsubishi 4G94 Engine.
