Nissan Teana J32 Rocker Cover Gasket (Or Plug Seal?)

The rocker cover gasket of Nissan Teana J32 2.5 V6 engine with engine code of VQ25DE, have something different from the A32 and A33 model, in the rocker cover photo above, there are 2 extra holes pointed with the arrow, which there are 2 pieces of rubber seal needed for this place, I seen it may call as rocker cover grommet, or rocker cover gasket #2, but some of them may call it as plug seal, which I think it is not so suitable as the plug seal should be refer to the 3 holes at the rocker cover there which connected to the spark plug.

For the below photo, you may found the photo of one of the rocker cover gasket grommet, as this 2 pieces grommet in the rocker cover are with 2 different part number that can't be interchanged between them.

 

 

Chevrolet Captiva 2.4 EGR Valve Adapter Gasket

Inside the Chevrolet Captiva 2.4 gasket kit, you will found a very special gasket which looks like above photo, they call it EGR valve adapter gasket, although in Chevrolet model Optra 1.8 and the Opel Frontera 2.2 model also have similar gasket, but the Captiva 2.4 type have an extra hole that enhance with o-ring on it.

And for overseas market where the Suzuki have some joint venture model with the Chevrolet, there are some Suzuki model out there came with this Chevrolet engine. So it is not s surprise to see this items in Suzuki genuine part label packing.

Proton X50 model is currently consider one of the popular selling model in Malaysia market, at the time of writing, currently the waiting delivery queue for new car may take up to 6 months long. But today we not talking about how popular for this model, and let's have a look for the interesting fact for this engine.

Since Geely taking up 51% shareholding in Proton, they already first introduce the Proton X70 which is originally from Geely Boyue with their own JLH-4G18TD. Coming to Proton X50, they introduce the JLH-3G15TD engine for it, and what interesting us is this 3 cylinder engine is actually a Volvo Engine Architecture design, which it also use in Volvo XC40 with Volvo engine code of B3154T.

And on 9th June 2022, Proton announce that the 2022 Proton X70 will have new option that come with this JLH-3G15TD engine. 

 

2 types of Nissan ZD30DDT Cylinder Head Gasket

Nissan engine code ZD30DDTi can be found in Malaysia Nissan Urvan 3.0 E25 model, other country may found it in their Frontier or Safari model, in earlier post we already show there 2 types of glow plug seal for this model, in this post we take a look on the different found in 2 types of ZD30DDT cylinder head gasket. 

The upper piece is the first type and the bottom one is develop in the later version, at a glance you may feel both piece are same, until when you compare it carefully.
 

Maxus LDV G10 Overhaul Gasket Kit

We continue with the introduce of non Japanese model gasket in this post, in our previous post, we introduce the Maxus Weststar V80 overhaul gasket kit content where this is a diesel engine, the post can be found in the link here.

In this post, let's take a look at the overhaul gasket kit content for another Maxus model, this time is a 2.0 petrol engine which they call it Maxus LDV G10 model.

The content on this petrol engine gasket seems more simple than the diesel type, it seems there are no rocker cover gasket found in this kit, more eye catching I think is the flywheel oil seal that have a big metal housing on it.
 

Chevrolet Sonic 1.4 Overhaul Gasket

Some time, it is quite interesting when customer try to inquire us some non Japanese car model gasket, one of the recent sourcing is the Chevrolet Sonic 1.4 overhaul gasket kit.

At a glance, it seems the gasket content not too complicated, but some continental model especially Chevy seems like to design their oil pump gasket (or may be some call it timing gasket) in a slightly thick metal sheet with rubber seal on top of the surface along the important sealing area. This type of oil pump gasket it may cost higher than other gasket content in this gasket kit.  

 

JAC N75 Overhaul Gasket Kit

In this post, lets have a looks on this Foton Cummins ISF 3.8 engine, which is use in one of the China made light commercial truck for JAC N75 model.
