Mitsubishi 4A91 and 4A92 Rocker Cover Gasket

Mitsubishi engine code 4A91 and 4A92 is under the same family of engine, the details on the Mitsubishi 4A9 series of engine can be found in Wikipedia link here.

The 4A91 is a 1,499cc engine which use in Mitsubishi Colt and Lancer while 4A92 is a 1,590cc engine which use in Mitsubishi ASX and Lancer, there are actually one more variant of 1,332cc Mitsubishi Colt under 4A90 engine.

Although this 3 engine, 4A90, 4A91 and 4A92 share the same type of cylinder head gasket, but there are 2 variant of rocker cover gasket, in the photo above is for the variant 4A90 and 4A91 under part number MN158200, while the photo below is for the 4A92 version under part number 1035A991.

 

Nissan GT-R R35 Rocker Cover Gasket and Plug Seal

Nissan Skyline GT-R R35 is using the VR38DETT engine, this is the engine using in the GT-R from 2007 until present, this engine also use in the limited production Nissan Juke-R, Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge Prototype.

This V6 engine consider have a similar design in their rocker cover like those in VQ series, there are 6 pieces plug seal on the rocker cover, 3 each in the left and right rocker cover.

Unlike the earlier VQ series where Nissan had the plug seal to service for the after market replacement, but for the VR38DETT Nissan only come out with the rocker cover gasket for replacement, they didn't actually produce the individual plug seal, but you can see the plug seal clearly in the new rocker cover in below photo.

Since there are customer looking for the plug seal with bringing the plug seal to check the size if any other oil seal can be use for replacement, we found out that one of the Subaru crankshaft oil seal is fit nicely and perfectly on the rocker cover plug holes. 

 

Mitsubishi 4N15 Cylinder Head Gasket

Mitsubishi 4N15 engine is a 2.4 MIVEC engine which can be seen in the Triton 2.4 or Pajero Sports 2.4 in Malaysia market, the details and history of this Mitsubishi 4N1series engine can be found in the Wikipedia link here.

Due to it is an all alloy engine with aluminium die cast block, the cylinder head gasket material may be crucial, and you may find the KP brand cylinder head gasket is exactly same as the Mitsubishi genuine parts which dismantled out from the engine.

 

Nissan FJ20E Overhaul Set Gasket

 

Nissan FJ20 engine is use in the 1982 Skyline and Silvia under R30, S110 and S12 model, there are 2 type of FJ20 engine, one is FJ20E which stand for EGI engine, and EJ20T for turbo engine.

The photo shown is the EJ20E engine overhaul gasket kit, base from the content list for both FJ20E and FJ20T gasket kit, basically most of the items are same, with the EJ20T may have some extra pieces of gasket for the turbocharger area.

Nissan Almera 1.0 Turbo Engine

Nissan Malaysia is launching the all new Almera model with 1.0 turbo engine, from the Nissan Malaysia official website, you may found that the 3 cylinder 1.0 turbo engine code is HR10DET, so is this HR10DET engine gasket will have any similar gasket with the previous HR series of engine.

Of course I don't have the gasket as this is consider a new engine from Nissan, from the Wikipedia introduce on HR series engine, the 3 cylinder engine is mainly on HR12DE and HR12DDR engine code, which is mainly found in Nissan March K13, Micra or Note model.

The photo below is the HR12DE engine gasket kit for a record, let see if we are able to have the HR10DET gasket photo to view as soon as in the year 2021, I'm quite excited to know how their turbocharger gasket looks like.
