Toyota 8AR-FTS Rocker Cover Gasket

 

Toyota 8AR-FTS rocker cover gasket have a quite unique design from other Toyota AR series engine, other than the normal outer parts with part number 11213-36050 as the below photo, it have a very special 11214-36020 at the centre part of the rocker cover just like the photo above.

A 2.0 L turbocharged direct-injected member of the AR family, fitted with VVT-iW it is able to operate in both the Otto and a modified-Atkinson cycle. Debuted in the Lexus NX200t. Power output in the 2015 NX200t is 175 kW (235 hp) at 4,800 - 5,600 rpm and 350 N⋅m (258 lb⋅ft) at 1,650 - 4000 rpm. The 8AR-FTS engine has Lexus’ ESTEC D-4ST (Economy with Superior Thermal Efficient Combustion Direct injection 4-stroke with Turbo) fuel injection. With separate twin injectors for both direct and port injection, ESTEC D-4ST could perform high-pressure direct injection into the cylinder and conventional intake port injection, or direct cylinder injection only, according to engine speed. Power output in some applications, e.g. Lexus IS 200t XE30, Lexus GS 200t and Lexus RC 200t is bumped up by 5 kW (6.7 hp) up to 180 kW (242 hp) in the same rev range but torque remains the same.

Nissan Serena C26 Intake Manifold Gasket

The Nissan Serena C26 is using the MR20DD engine, it seems their engine gasket should be roughly interchangeable with the MR18DE or MR20DE engine, but the manifold system in this MR20DD engine have little modification from the MR20DE type.

As the Nissan HR and MR series of engine, is design as such once you change the rocker cover gasket, you may need to change the intake manifold gasket as well, the MR20DE and MR20DD engine is sharing the same type of rocker cover gasket but not the intake manifold gasket.

Honda Transmission Linear Solenoid Gasket

This piece of gasket which found in quite a number of Honda model in their transmission linear solenoid area, for the whole transmission there are 2 solenoid which another one using a bigger gasket, it may be not belong to the engine area, and is fall under transmission parts, since we are in the gasket field, sometime we also need to source some gasket at the transmission side for customer.

Is it really the rocker cover gasket for Toyota Vios?

This piece of rocker cover gasket is belong to the Toyota 1NZ-FE engine, which in Malaysia market mostly the first few generation of Vios NCP model are using, but this piece of rocker cover gasket is not really for Vios, the plug seal connection area with the rocker cover gasket, the traditional Vios rocker cover gasket is straight to the plug seal holes, and not like what you see in the photo have a U shape connection on it.

In the website, we can see some of the Toyota Corolla Fielder which having 1NZ-FXP engine on it is using this type of rocker cover gasket. Or there are one generation of Vios is Malaysia is using this type of rocker cover gasket before it change to the 2NR type of engine.

Honda CRV 1.5 Turbo Rocker Cover Gasket

Malaysia have their smallest CC Honda CRV with a 1.5 Turbo engine, this engine also found at those Honda Civic 1.5 Turbo version, the rocker cover gasket with Honda part number 12341-59B-013, they design a hole on the rocker cover gasket there, which should have some special purpose function on the rocker cover side, anyone know what is the purpose of having that hole?

Proton Campro CPS engine Valve Cover Seal

For the Proton Campro CPS engine, which can be found in Preve, Exora, Suprima model, which at the car bonnet will have the CPS emblem on it, their rocker cover gasket is different from those in first generation Proton GEN2 and those later Proton BLM, and their rocker cover tightening method will involve the rocker cover bolt like in the above photo.

You can find a washer like of bush in the bolt, which normally we call it valve cover seal or may be rocker cover bush, it is interesting to find that the size of this seal is actually same with those use in Nissan old VQ series of engine, like Cefiro, Maxima, Altima and Infiniti G20, I30 and Q45.

Although for Nissan V6 engine it may need total of 20 pieces of this seal for one engine, the Proton CPS engine only need 8 pieces of it in one engine.
   

Toyota 2JZ-GTE Exhaust Manifold Gasket

For the inline 6 cylinder engine, which the exhaust manifold gasket will also have the 6 main exhaust hole, some of their gasket may design as such to separate it to 2 pieces so that the gasket will be not too long, but normally they design it as such the 2 pieces of gasket are same.

But that isn't  the case for Toyota Supra 3.0 2JZ-GTE exhaust manifold gasket, the gasket is design as 2 pieces separately for one engine, but that 2 pieces are with different design.
