Toyota 2JZ-GTE Exhaust Manifold Gasket

For the inline 6 cylinder engine, which the exhaust manifold gasket will also have the 6 main exhaust hole, some of their gasket may design as such to separate it to 2 pieces so that the gasket will be not too long, but normally they design it as such the 2 pieces of gasket are same.

But that isn't  the case for Toyota Supra 3.0 2JZ-GTE exhaust manifold gasket, the gasket is design as 2 pieces separately for one engine, but that 2 pieces are with different design.

Mitsubishi Triton Rocker Cover Gasket

Let's have a look on the 2 difference design of the rocker cover for the Mitsubishi Triton model which currently common on the road in Malaysia, the above photo showed the Mitsubishi 2.4 MIVEC 4N15 engine rocker cover which is consider a bit new in Malaysia, their rocker cover gasket is more straight forward which attached together with plug seal.

The photo below is the Mitsubishi 2.5 4D56T 16V engine, or some call it as KB4T engine, which when one time of rocker cover servicing, you may need to change a piece of rocker cover gasket, 4 pieces of plug seal, 4 pieces of nozzle seal, and a set of o-ring which consist of 3 pieces same design of o-ring and 1 piece o-ring which is different from others. So should consider this rocker cover design in quite complicated manner.

Subaru IHI RHF4 Turbocharger Gasket

This 2 pieces of gasket is use on Subaru IHI RHF4 turbocharger gasket should be found on those Subaru EJ20 series engine model, but it is quite common to found some Daihatsu K3-VET and JB-DET owner is modified their turbocharger to this Subaru type of turbocharger.

This turbocharger is normally on the twin turbo Subaru model.

Mazda MX-5 NC Intake Manifold Gasket

Mazda MX-5 2005 NC model is using the Mazda L8 or LF engine code, which this engine code is use on Mazda 5, Mazda 6, Premacy, Axela and Atenza as well, most of the items in the gasket kit is the same items which is interchangeable in each model, but the intake manifold gasket for the MX-5 NC model have some modification from other model, which make their gasket is unique to use in MX-5 NC model but not in other LF engine model.

The rubber type intake manifold gasket KP part number is KC305138 and the metal type is KC305134, both under OEM part number LFE2-13-135 and LFE2-13-111.

Mitsubishi 6G75 Full Set Gasket Kit

Mitsubishi Pajero V6 engine in highest CC displacement should be the under 6G75 engine code with 3827cc, there are quite some model with 6G75 engine like V77W, DJ3A, D81W, DK4A and DJ5A, but this model is using the same cylinder head gasket for left and right side for the engine.

For model like V87W and V97W, the cylinder head gasket for left side is different part number from the right side, this is quite uncommon for Mitsubishi V6 range of engine which they normally design as such both side of gasket is using the same part number.

Honda S800 Engine Gasket

Today while browsing the Facebook, found some very beautiful Honda S800 photo in Hong Kong Automobile Magazine Facebook page, the Honda S800 is the Honda sports car introduced in 1965 Tokyo Motor Show, and in the production during 1966 to 1970.

In Malaysia, I'm hardly see a Honda S800 on the road, and don't know whether it is exist in Malaysia or not, so far I don't have any customer asking about this model engine gasket.

Out of curiosity, I also wish to check how the gasket kit for this Honda S800 looks like, it seems there are not much info after searching at the Google, and the best I can find is seem the gasket kit only have 2 pieces of gasket which is a cylinder head gasket, and one timing chain passage gasket.

Anyway for the car itself, it seem there are quite a lot still maintain in very nice condition, it is not sure if the gasket can be easily found on those country which have the Honda S800, but we are absolutely don't have this gasket and don't have any idea where to get it locally in Malaysia.

Toyota Supra B58 Cylinder Head Gasket

The new Toyota Supra is already known by their fans that they phase out the use of 2JZ-GTE engine, and change the engine which use in the BMW new Z4 M40i, the engine code for this BMW engine is B58B30M1 which Toyota just using the B58 engine code for their Supra series.

As this is consider a new engine, which most of the catalogue may not feature this engine gasket, out of curiosity, found a YouTube video that they tear down the Supra B58 engine for an upgrade, in this case I'm able the peek the looks of the cylinder head gasket.

From the video, it seems this engine also not using the rocker cover gasket, since the original gasket is not produce in Japan but in Germany, will Japan high performance parts company such as HKS and Tomei will produce the higher spec of this cylinder head gasket in the future?
