Daihatsu 3 cylinder YRV Intake Manifold
When we talk about Daihatsu YRV, we normally think of the K3-VET 4 cylinder engine, but actually there are a 3 cylinder engine model of YRV which using the EF-DET engine, the EF-VE engine is commonly use on Perodua Viva in Malaysia market, in engine gasket side, most of the gasket in EF-DET and EF-VE are interchangeable, but we found something special at the intake manifold area.
You can find the above photo are intake manifold which is dismantle from Daihatsu YRV, there are basically have 3 pieces of gasket attached on it, an intake manifold gasket with 3 holes, an intake manifold gasket #2, and a throttle body gasket which you can find the gasket at the below photo.
The interesting part is the so call intake manifold gasket #2, which for the YRV EF-DET engine, it seems like a piece of rubber which without any hole (as seen on above photo), it seems like the function is to seal off the hole on the manifold.
Unlike the Perodua Viva EF-VE engine, this piece of gasket (which can be seen at the photo below) is having the hole just like those normal type of rubber o-ring gasket.

Nissan Fairlady Z33 Intake Section Gasket
It is normal for a V6 engine intake manifold section, have the intake manifold gasket and surger manifold gasket, but some latest V6 version have an extra plenum gasket which is also consider in the intake manifold section.

Subaru Throttle Body Gasket
Subaru EJ series engine have many version, their throttle body gasket may be different from each engine, I have to save a post here in a way that if I need a quick reference, I can use this post for a quick search.
This is one of the version that the throttle body gasket is using the silicone o-ring.
The below photo is not a throttle body gasket, it is call idle air control stabilizer valve gasket.

Mitsubishi Colt 1.5 4A91 Flywheel Oil Seal
Mitsubishi 4A90, 4A91 and 4A92 engine which is found in newer version of Colt, Lancer or even ASX, should be consider under the same family of engine, their flywheel oil seal (some call it as crankshaft oil seal) is come with the metal housing, initially I thought it should be sharing the same type of oil seal, until I found one of the full set gasket we sold to customer, the customer coming back with their oil seal which they stated the oil seal in the set have slightly different from the one dismantled from engine.
The photo above showing the front side of the oil seal and the photo below is showing the reverse side, the one on top of the photo is the oil seal dismantle out from the engine while the bottom one is the oil seal content in the gasket kit.
At a glance it seems nothing different but one or two screw hole alignment are not in the same place for both oil seal, the oil seal content in the gasket is with the part number 1052A150 or 1052B059, still trying to getting the part number for the oil seal that is taken out from this engine, suspected we may search it under Smart Fortwo or Smart Forfour engine version.

Honda R18A and R20A Overhaul Set Gasket

The Honda R engine is an inline-four engine launched in 2006 for the Honda Civic (non-Si). It is fuel injected, has an aluminum-alloy cylinder block and cylinder head, is a SOHC 16-valve design (four valves per cylinder) and utilizes Honda's i-VTEC system. The R series engine has acompression ratio of 10.5:1, features a "drive by wire" throttle system which is computer controlled to reduce pumping losses and create a smooth torque curve.
The engine uses many advanced technologies to improve fuel economy and reduce friction. Piston rings are given an ion plating and weight is reduced with plastic and aluminum parts and variable length intake manifolds that maintain ram air at a wide RPM range. The engine also features piston cooling jets, previously available only on high performance engines, and in the ninth-generation 1.8L Civic (2012-2015) the pistons are treated with molybdenum disulfide applied in a polka-dot pattern. The automatic transmission model is rated at California Air Resources Board (CARB) ULEV-2 (Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle) with fuel economy 25 mpg‑US (9.4 L/100 km; 30 mpg‑imp) city, and 36 mpg‑US(6.5 L/100 km; 43 mpg‑imp) highway. It also uses the same computer (engine control unit) controlled distributorless coil-on-plug ignition as the Honda K-series engines.

Mitsubishi 4G93 GDi Rocker Cover Gasket
This Mitsubishi Galant 1.8 GDi have a very special rocker cover design, this is in the Galant EA1A and EC1A model, the rocker cover for 4G93 DOHC normally have 3 curve, 2 at one side and 1 at the other end, but this design have 4 curve with 2 curve at each side.
The plug seal at the center of the rocker cover also different from the design for those rocker cover that have curve, which normally using 4pcs separate plug seal, this design of plug seal normally is use on the rocker cover with no curve at both sides, which can be found in Pajero IO DOHC.
