Malaysia Ford Ranger Gasket Series

Ford Ranger in Malaysia start with a Mazda WL engine, which it is also found in Mazda Fighter, others model also include Ford Everest and Ford Courier. Mazda WL engine is 4 cylinder SOHC 12 valve engine.

After the WL engine, Mazda improve the engine to WE which is 4 cylinder DOHC 16 valve, the engine is develop in Mazda Thailand, for the Mazda BT50 model, which is Ford Ranger TDCi in Malaysia. This is also a 2.5L engine same as WL, in Thailand there are 3.0L for their Mazda BT50.

After the Ford Ranger TDCi, Ford launch the Ford Ranger 2.2 XLT, this Ford Ranger 2.2 is using the Ford develop engine unlike the previous engine which is under Mazda engine code.

At the same time the Ford Ranger 2.2 XLT is launch, there are Ford Ranger 3.2L as well, the engine is similar to the 2.2 4 cylinder engine, the difference is 3.2 are 5 cylinder engine.

Mazda CX-7 Gasket

Apart from the normal gasket like those cylinder head, rocker cover, intake and exhaust manifold, what can you expect to find in Mazda CX-7 Gasket?

L315-40-581 is the silencer for Mazda CX-7, some may call it as exhaust pipe gasket.
















L3K9-13-655 is the throttle body gasket for Mazda CX-7.

This is the fuel injector for Mazda CX-7, but the actual item to show is the blue color injector O-ring, which may able to found in full set gasket kit, L3K9-13-253.

The bolt on turbo on Mazda CX-7 have this turbo manifold gasket L3K9-13-710.

And the other side of the turbo manifold, having the gasket of L380-13-490B.

Mitsubishi 4B11 Rocker Cover Gasket

Many screw hole can be found in this Mitsubishi 4B11 rocker cover (Same as for 4B10 and 4B12), so what is the best way to tighten the bolt with the correct sequence and correct torque so that it can be function well enough, and let the parts have longer lifespan.

And found a diagram as above from a EvoXForum website, it shown the sequence of tightening, with hand tight for the first tight follow the sequence 1-18, and using the torque wrench to tighten it again with torque of around 4-4.25lbs.

Ford Fiesta 1.6 Top Set Gasket

Normally people will link the Ford model engine with the Mazda model engine, but recent new model that launch by Ford in Malaysia may not using engine related to Mazda anymore.

One of the example is this Ford Fiest 1.6 engine which is totally not in Mazda engine range.

Zetec S

Toyota 1JZ and 2JZ Rocker Cover Gasket

Basically there may be 3 types of rocker cover found in Toyota 1JZ and 2JZ range of engine, every engine using 2 pieces of gasket, a simple guide will be as below,

Type 1 - Toyota 1JZ-GE, 2JZ-GE and 2JZ-GTE using 2 pieces of rocker cover gasket which both of them are different but with the same lenght.

Type 2 - Toyota 1JZ-GTE using 2 pieces of rocker cover gasket which both of them are exactly the same item, since it is same item of course their length are same.

Type 3 - This type of Toyota JZ series engine also using 2 pieces of rocker cover gasket, both of them are different as well, the best part is one of them is design as such the length is shorter than the other piece.

A set of very old Suzuki F5A Gasket Kit.....seem like their intake and manifold gasket are the one which is correct, but the rocker cover gasket is rubber type, not rubber cork type, and the cylinder head gasket is not correct also.......
