Nissan RB25DET Turbocharger Gasket

Before that having some top set gasket for Nissan Skyline RB25DET, but some customer is looking for some individual content in the gasket set, and had been taking out from the set to service customer who really need it, so this time we get some of the gasket especially the turbocharger area, some are need to re-pack it back to the gasket kit, of course now we have extra pieces to be sell in individual item.
 

Proton X70 Overhaul Gasket Kit Set

Today get the opportunity to unbox a China made overhaul gasket kit set for Geely Boyue 1.8 and have a sneak peek on how the gasket looks like.

This Geely engine code JLE-4G18TD model gasket, is also use in the Malaysia national car Proton X70, Proton X70 is the first SUV develop by national car manufacturer Proton after Geely acquire 49% shareholding in Proton.

It is known that currently the genuine parts for Proton X70 can only get at Proton 3S centre, even the Proton authorised part dealer can't sell the Proton X70 parts. So, for us to get a Proton X70 gasket kit for own reference, we either buy from Proton 3S centre or we can buy the Geely Boyue gasket kit from China. From the photo, you know that we choose to use the later option.

Toyota Supra 2JZ-GTE Exhaust Manifold Gasket

Toyota Supra 2JZ-GTE engine is an inline straight 6 cylinder engine, at the exhaust manifold area, the manifold gasket is split into 2 pieces, and this 2 pieces is different in design, the manifold gasket is manufactured as multi layer steel (MLS) style of gasket, with total 5 layer on each piece, making the thickness of the gasket become 1.5mm.

The photo show the design of the gasket, the first 2 on top is under OEM part number 17198-46010 with the front and back view of the gasket, and the other 2 at the bottom is under OEM part number 17173-46010 with the front and back view of the gasket. 
 

Mitsubishi Grandis NA4W Top Set Gasket

Mitsubishi Grandis NA4W is a seven-seat MPV built by Mitsubishi Motors to replace their Chariot/Space Wagon/Nimbus line. It was launched on 14 May 2003 and sold in Japan, Asia, Europe, Oceania, Mexico, Honduras, Jamaica and South America.

Engine available were a 2.4-litre four-cylinder with engine code 4G69, there are actually another type of engine, 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine which is sourced from Volkswagen. 
 

Toyota HDJ101 Intake Manifold Washer/Bush

When perform Toyota Landcruiser HZJ80, HDJ81 and HDJ101 intake manifold gasket replacement, one may found that they have the special washer or bush need to be replace also, which is similar to some rocker cover gasket replacement, the photo above taken from a discussion Forum, which showing the HZJ80 and HDJ101 12 valve,  which using 12 washers for each engine, for the HDJ81 and HDJ101 24 valve,  the intake manifold gasket is using 2 pieces separated with 6 holes in each pieces, which the washer is using 8 pieces for each engine, as shown in the photo below.

 

Chery QQ 1.1 SQR472 Gasket Kit

Today this post is to share a very interesting China made engine SQR472 which is made for Chery QQ 1.1 model, take a closer look at the head gasket, you may find it seems familiar but it should be a 3 cylinder head gasket.

Yes, it is looks a like of what the Daihatsu EJ-DE engine which is use in Perodua Kenari Kelisa in Malaysia market, but EJ-DE is 3 cylinder but Chery had modified a bit by adding an extra cylinder for this engine.

You will find that the oil pump and waterpump gasket is similar to the EJ-DE gasket, even for the rocker cover gasket, it is similar design with longer dimension to suit for the 4 cylinder head length.

Actually Chery have another model call SQR372 with 3 cylinder engine which should be same or similar to the EJ-DE type of engine, the number in engine SQR472, which 4 may stand for 4 cylinder and 72 stand for engine piston bore diameter, same explanation may applied for SQR372.

As the SQR472 is the China develop engine, their OEM engine parts should be all made in China with no other country will manufacture it, unless the common interchangeable items with the EJ-DE engine. 
 

Toyota GR Yaris G16E-GTS Engine

The Toyota GR Yaris had been launched in Malaysia on December 2020, the introduction for this vehicle can be found in the Paultan website here.

What making it interesting is the engine they use, firstly, the engine code is G16E-GTS, which is rather special for Toyota when their traditional engine code is start with numeric, and it is a 3 cylinders turbocharged engine, the Wikipedia introduce the engine with the link here. 

And with the rather new engine, it is quite impossible to find the gasket info for now, but in the Toyota-club.net website we can get some idea on how the gasket looks like with some of the diagram they share in their website here.
