Toyota 2AR-FE Engine Gasket

Have a opportunity to know that a customer is doing an overhauling on a Toyota 2AR-FE engine, which mainly use on Toyota Camry 2.5 Hybrid in Malaysia market.

It is quite surprise for us to know that he can't find the overhauling parts from local Toyota dealer, and he have to order it directly from Japan.

Since I'm mostly interested on the gasket parts, I'm happy to have the photo he share to us so we can have a look on what gasket content in that overhaul set gasket kit.

Basically the Nissan SR16VE and SR20VE engine cylinder head gasket can be said is same design but the different is SR16VE original gasket is using graphite material where else the SR20VE original gasket material is metal.

Toyota 1G-FE Engine Gasket

The Toyota 1G-FE engine code, is possible the only model that using the metal type of cylinder head gasket under the Toyota 1G engine family, unlike those in 1G-EU, 1G-GEU, 1G-GE, 1G-GZEU and 1G-GTEU where their cylinder head gasket is originally in graphite type of material.

The 1G-FE intake manifold side of gasket is also using rubber o-ring type of gasket.

The engine is found in 1998 model of Toyota Altezza and Mark II under GXE10 and GX115 body.
