Found an interest part at the Subaru EJ20 engine rocker cover area, I think not all the EJ20 series have this part but what they call it as rocker cover oil separator, for the above diagram, check it out on 11831 and 11832.
And for this rocker cover show above, can you see the black cover on the upper left of the rocker cover?
The first diagram which show item 11831 is the above item which is the black cover you can find beside the rocker cover, and the below photo show the item 11832 which is the gasket sit between the above black cover and the rocker cover, and they call this as oil separator gasket.

Mazda LF, L5, L8 Engine Oil Cooler Gasket Type
Mazda LF, L3, L5 and L8 engine which can be find in model like Mazda 3, 5, 6 and CX-5, CX-7, also some new Roadster, Premacy, Axela, Atenza, MX-5 and Biante.
As the design of engine is consider under the same family of engine, the design of oil cooler seems have two type of it, one is using the plastic type of oil cooler with part number LF02-14-700 and one is the metal type of oil cooler with part number LF6W-14-700A.
With the difference type of oil cooler, their gasket also have 2 types of it, the metal oil cooler, is using the rubber seal as their gasket, and for the plastic type of oil cooler, the gasket is something like a fiber housing which having the rubber seal attached on it.
The question is this 2 type of gasket, seem share the same part number of LF8X-14-702, so is this 2 type of gasket is interchangeable in this 2 oil cooler, or the rubber seal design of gasket, which is produce after the fiber type, consider an improvement design, to let it use in this 2 type of oil cooler and supersede the fiber type gasket?
