Mitsubishi Galant 4G93 4G94 Rocker Cover Gasket

Looking at this Mitsubishi Galant 1.8 DOHC EA1A and EC1A model rocker cover diagrammed, what can you spot the difference of their rocker cover gasket from the other 4G9series DOHC engine rocker cover gasket?

This Mitsubishi Galant is install with 4G93 engine for 1,843cc and 4G94 engine for 1,999cc. The rocker cover gasket have 4 cam curving on it, where else in the earlier version of 4G9series DOHC engine, their rocker cover gasket normally designed to have only 3 cam curving on it.

Subaru Forester Rocker Cover Gasket

It is easy for us to just mention Subaru engine, EJ20 or EJ25, it may more simple when you are looking for cylinder head gasket, but when come to the rocker cover gasket, you may find it difficult to give a correct part if one just simply mention EJ20 or EJ25.

Why Subaru have various type of rocker cover design just only for their EJ20 or EJ25 series of engine, that's always puzzling me, may be they have the explanation with technical or performance improvement with the changes, but for sure my inventories list for Subaru rocker cover gasket will need to have a long list.

Mitsubishi Triton 2.5 DOHC 16V Overhaul Set Gasket

Mitsubishi engine code 4D56 can be consider quite an old code since 1986~, which it can be found on some Pajero, Delica and Montero model.

All the while, if there are any upgrading on this 4D56 engine by Mitsubishi, it still design as a SOHC 8 valve diesel engine, until recent year, they come out with the latest upgrading, with the same engine code of 4D56, but design as DOHC 16 valve engine.

This engine can be found in the new Mitsubishi Triton 2.5 in Malaysia, by just looking at the content of the overhaul set gasket, we can know that it should be have a lot of improvement from the previous 4D56.

Japanese Motor Vehicles Guidebook Vol.60

Thank you very much again to my principle that coming all the way from Japan and visited us, and bringing along with him a copy of Japanese Motor Vehicle Guidebook 2013-2014 Vol.60, my latest collection complementary from him.

This time, I found the guidebook is come with a CD, since I'm just receiving the copy, I need to have some time to browse through the copy before I will check what is the content in the CD.

Toyota Levin 4A-GE Exhaust Manifold Gasket

Toyota Corolla Levin and Sprinter Trueno, with the 4A-GE engine, normally we differentiate it with the 16 valves model or 20 valves model, let's take a look on their exhaust manifold gasket as in above photo, looks similar isn't it? May be you just find it the difference is only the gasket material on the above photo.

Now let's overlap both gasket and check it out.

After overlapping both gasket, which shown as in the above photo, all the holes is align well except the 2 holes at the left and right side which have the arrow pointed on it, basically it is only this 2 holes that differentiate this 2 gasket.

And than, I found this in a website, can you see what have they done on this gasket, the 2 holes that differentiate that 2 gasket, is made longer in this type of gasket, and made this gasket can be use on both for 16 valves and 20 valves model, and I like the way of their design.
