Perodua Axia Engine Gasket

Perodua Axia in Malaysia market is using the engine of 1KR-DE which is similar to the one in Toyota Agya in Indonesia market, and the 1KR-DE engine is believe are develop and built in Indonesia, whereby the initial 1KR family which is 1KR-FE is develop in Japan.

There are differences in 1KR-FE and 1KR-DE engine gasket, since 1KR-DE engine is born in Indonesia, it is believe that their OEM parts also made in Indonesia.

And Malaysia market is about the launch the new Perodua Bezza on 21st July 2016, which come in with 1.0 and 1.3 variant of engine, the 1.0 engine as stated in the brochure as a 1KR-VE engine, will this 1KR-VE engine gasket have some surprise differences when compare to 1KR-DE and 1KR-FE engine?

Daihatsu Gran Max Full Set Gasket

Toyota 3SZ-FE engine can be found in Toyota Avanza 1.5 model in Malaysia market. But Avanza is not the first model found with this series of engine, the first model in Malaysia can be trace back to Perodua Kembara DVVT model with K3-VE engine, which after that widely use in Perodua Myvi 1.3 model.

After that Toyota Avanza launch their 1.3 model with 2SZ-FE engine which can be consider almost same as Daihatsu K3-VE, and 3SZ-FE for 1.5 model, which also use in Perodua Myvi and Alza 1.5, also can be seen in Toyota Rush and Perodua Nautica.

Later on Daihatsu Malaysia launch the Gran Max van which is installed with a 3SZ-VE engine, the cylinder head gasket for the 3SZ-FE and 3SZ-VE is a bit difference, there are 2 holes near the timing chain area is seal in 3SZ-VE type of gasket.

3SZ-VE engine is originally use in Toyota Lite and Townace, and the exhaust manifold gasket seem also very similar to the Daihatsu YRV turbo type under K3-VET engine.

Mazda Skyactiv Engine Gasket

Mazda Skyactiv version of engine, which a brand name from Mazda technologies started since 2011, and a version of Skyactiv-G version starting in the year of 2012.

The engine gasket of Skyactiv version, which having the engine code like P5-VPS or PY-VPS, is a total difference design from it's previous Mazda model with engine code like L3, LF and L5.  

The below photo show the differences of the cylinder head gasket for the 2 engine, the top one is the design for those engine code under L3, LF and L5 and the bottom one is that with engine code of P5 and PY.
